A license remains valid for all incremental updates within a version number. For example, a license remains valid between versions 6.5 and 6.6 but not between versions 6.x and 7.x. Without a valid license, the program will run in demo mode. Should you keep the old version? You should NOT install two versions of PatchTool or two versions of CT&A on the same computer. First deactivate (if the licensing was based on an activated Key), then uninstall the older or unwanted version before installing the software. We strongly recommend that you keep a backup of ALL your install files (the downloaded setup file in Windows and the downloaded disk image for Mac).
